“Moonshine & Mojo Hands” filming May 6th, 2013 at Club Ebony

OPEN CASTING CALL: If you enjoy the Blues and want to be apart of an upcoming reality show, come to B.B. King’s Historic Club Ebony in Indianola, Mississippi on Monday, May 6th.

The award-winning creators of “M for Mississippi” and “We Juke Up in Here” return with “Moonshine & Mojo Hands”, the first-ever blues music reality show. Join hosts Roger Stolle and Jeff Konkel as they travel Mississippi’s back roads in search of juke joints, house parties, moonshine, and the musicians who keep the Blues alive!

Join Roger and Jeff this Monday night at B.B. King’s Historic Club Ebony, located at 404 Hannah Street in Indianola for a night of Blues with The Mark “Mule Man” Massey Band. Showtime 7 pm. This event is FREE to the public.

Few people can claim to have had a bigger impact on the Delta blues scene in recent years than Roger Stolle. In addition to owning and operating his famed blues store Cat Head Delta Blues & Folk Art in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Roger also co-produced and co-directed the award-winning blues films M For Mississippi and We Juke Up in Here. Stolle also has produced three universally praised CDs and a DVD on St. Louis bluesman Big George Brock. Roger’s recently published book Hidden History of Mississippi Blues has earned raves from critics and readers alike. Roger also is a Blues Revue columnist and XM Radio correspondent. He was one of the architects and founders of the famed Juke Joint Festival in Clarksdale.

Jeff Konkel

Over the past eight years, no label has done more than Jeff Konkel’s Broke & Hungry Records to promote the raw wild sounds of the Mississippi Delta. Jeff has produced eight critically acclaimed CDs on veteran Mississippi blues artists. He also co-produced and co-directed the award-winning blues films M For Mississippi and We Juke Up in Here and their accompanying CD soundtracks. Jeff also received 2007 Producer of the Year recognition in the Living Blues Awards Critic’s Poll. In addition to his production work, he is a veteran public relations practitioner, freelance music journalist and artist manager.
