A new year and new political changes for Indianola… what’s next?

Upon the close of 2009, the political landscape of Indianola, Mississippi had changed. Voters expressed their dissatisfaction with the previous administration. In the midst of growing joblessness, ever-spreading crime, neighborhood flooding, public education concerns, and fiscal woes, a new mayor and two new aldermen were elected to remedy these issues.

We all seek a better Indianola. So, what is next?

On Monday, January 4th, 2010 a swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Sunflower County Courthouse at 7 pm. Mayor-elect Steve Rosenthal and newly elected aldermen, Otis Anthony Jr. and Carver Randle Jr. will take oath. The public is invited.
